  • Provide false or misleading information when placing an order or requesting a service.

We reserve the right to restrict access to the website where misuse or unlawful activity is suspected.

3. Products and Services

We provide solar and electrical solutions that may include solar panels, hybrid inverters, batteries, backup power systems, electrical installations and related equipment.

Product availability, specifications, brands and prices may change without prior notice.

Images displayed on the website are for illustration purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product supplied.

4. Quotes and Site Assessments

Solar installations may require a site assessment before a final quotation can be provided.

A quotation may take into consideration:

  • Electricity consumption and load requirements.
  • Available roof or ground installation space.
  • Existing electrical infrastructure.
  • Inverter and battery requirements.
  • Cable runs and mounting requirements.
  • Electrical compliance requirements.
  • Installation complexity.

A quotation is only considered accepted once the customer has approved it and any required deposit or payment has been received.

5. Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).

Prices may change due to supplier pricing, equipment availability, exchange-rate fluctuations or changes in installation requirements.

Where a quotation has been accepted, the quoted price will apply subject to the terms and conditions stated on that quotation.

Additional work or equipment not included in the original quotation may be charged separately and will be discussed with the customer before the additional work is undertaken.

6. Orders and Payments

Orders are subject to product availability and confirmation by Do-It-Solar.

Payment methods available may include electronic funds transfer (EFT), card payments or other payment methods displayed or agreed upon at the time of purchase.

For installation projects, a deposit or upfront payment may be required before equipment is ordered or installation is scheduled.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate payment and contact information.

7. Installation Services

Installation dates are arranged with the customer after the required equipment and information are available.

Installation times may be affected by:

  • Equipment availability.
  • Weather conditions.
  • Site accessibility.
  • Electrical requirements.
  • Additional work identified during installation.
  • Supplier or logistics delays.

Customers must ensure that our installation team has reasonable access to the property and the area where the work will be performed.

8. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for providing accurate information about the property and its electrical requirements.

Customers must also ensure that:

  • Installation areas are reasonably accessible.
  • Required permissions are obtained where applicable.
  • Existing electrical systems are reasonably accessible for inspection.
  • Any known electrical or structural issues are disclosed before installation.

Failure to provide access or accurate information may result in delays or additional costs.

9. Electrical and Regulatory Requirements

Where applicable, installations will be carried out in accordance with relevant South African electrical requirements and applicable industry standards.

Where a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) or other certification is required, the applicable requirements and costs will be discussed with the customer.

Additional upgrades required to bring an existing electrical installation up to the required standard may not be included in the original quotation unless specifically stated.

10. Solar System Performance

Solar system performance depends on several factors, including:

  • Sunlight and weather conditions.
  • Roof orientation and angle.
  • Shading.
  • Seasonal changes.
  • Electricity consumption.
  • Battery capacity.
  • System configuration.
  • Condition of existing electrical infrastructure.

Do-It-Solar does not guarantee a specific reduction in an electricity bill or a specific amount of energy generation unless expressly stated in a written agreement.

11. Product Warranty

Products supplied by Do-It-Solar may be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty according to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Warranty periods vary between products and manufacturers.

Warranty claims may be subject to inspection and the manufacturer’s warranty conditions.

The warranty generally does not cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modifications, incorrect operation, external events, negligence, physical damage or circumstances outside the manufacturer’s specified operating conditions.

12. Installation Workmanship

Where applicable, Do-It-Solar provides workmanship support for installations completed by our team.

The specific workmanship warranty period, if applicable, will be stated on the relevant quotation or invoice.

Warranty claims relating to installation workmanship may require an inspection before any corrective work is approved.

13. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

Returns, refunds and cancellations are handled in accordance with our Returns & Refund Policy and applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

Because solar installations and certain equipment may be specially ordered or configured for a particular customer, cancellation and return conditions may differ from standard retail products.

Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they wish to cancel an order or request a return.

14. Delivery

Delivery arrangements and estimated delivery times will depend on the product, supplier, stock availability and delivery location.

Any delivery timeframe provided is an estimate and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address and contact information supplied are accurate.

15. Third-Party Products and Manufacturers

Do-It-Solar may supply products manufactured by third-party companies.

Manufacturer names, trademarks, product specifications and warranties remain the property of their respective owners.

Where a product is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty terms may apply.

16. Limitation of Liability

Do-It-Solar will take reasonable care when supplying products and performing services.

To the extent permitted by South African law, we are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including power-grid failures, severe weather, natural disasters, theft, vandalism, customer misuse or unauthorised modifications to an installed system.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable South African law.

We respect customer privacy and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African privacy legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Information provided by customers may be used to process orders, arrange installations, communicate about services and provide customer support.

20. Force Majeure

Do-It-Solar will not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations where such delays result from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These circumstances may include natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, transport disruptions, supplier shortages, power failures, government restrictions or other unforeseen events.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal requirements.

The latest version published on our website will apply to future purchases and website use.

22. Governing Law
