5. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product information displayed on our Website is accurate and reasonably up to date.

Product information may include:

  • Product names;

  • Images;

  • Descriptions;

  • Specifications;

  • Dimensions;

  • Technical information;

  • Compatibility information;

  • Prices;

  • Stock availability;

  • Manufacturer information; and

  • Warranty information where applicable.

Product images may be used for illustrative purposes.

Minor differences in colour, packaging, labelling, design, or appearance may occur between Website images and the physical Product, particularly where manufacturers update packaging or product presentation.

Customers should carefully review product descriptions and specifications before purchasing.

If you are uncertain about the suitability, compatibility, size, capacity, voltage, power rating, or other technical specification of a Product, please contact Do It Solar before placing your Order.

6. Product Suitability

Customers are responsible for ensuring that Products are suitable for their intended application where suitability depends on information or circumstances specific to the customer.

This is particularly important for:

  • Solar panels;

  • Inverters;

  • Batteries;

  • Electrical equipment;

  • Cables;

  • Protection equipment;

  • Mounting systems;

  • Security equipment;

  • Backup-power equipment; and

  • Other technical Products.

Where installation, configuration, electrical work, structural work, or specialist work is required, customers should use an appropriately qualified professional.

General product information or guidance provided by Do It Solar does not replace professional technical, electrical, structural, or engineering advice where such advice is required.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory consumer rights relating to defective, unsuitable, or incorrectly described Products.

7. Product Availability

All Products are subject to availability.

Displaying a Product on the Website does not necessarily guarantee that the Product will remain available until an Order has been accepted and confirmed.

If a Product becomes unavailable after an Order has been submitted, we will notify the customer as soon as reasonably practicable.

If we cannot fulfil an Order because a Product is unavailable, we will provide the applicable remedy, including a refund where required.

8. Prices

All prices displayed on the Website are stated in South African Rand (ZAR) unless expressly stated otherwise.

Where applicable, taxes will be included or separately identified as required by law.

The applicable Product price is the price displayed at the time the Order is placed, subject to obvious pricing errors and applicable law.

Shipping charges, where applicable, will be displayed separately before the customer completes the purchase.

Do It Solar may change prices from time to time. Price changes will not affect an Order that has already been validly accepted, except where permitted or required by applicable law.

9. Pricing Errors

We take reasonable steps to ensure that Product prices are displayed accurately.

If a Product is displayed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical, typographical, system, or other error, we may contact the customer to clarify the situation.

Where permitted by applicable law, Do It Solar may cancel an Order affected by an obvious pricing error and refund any payment already made.

We will not knowingly use an obvious pricing error to unfairly disadvantage a customer.

10. Promotions and Discounts

Discount codes, promotional offers, sales, bundles, special prices, and other promotions may have specific terms and conditions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Promotions cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • Discount codes may be subject to specific limitations;

  • Only applicable products or customers may qualify;

  • Promotions may have start and end dates;

  • Promotions may be limited by quantity or availability;

  • Promotions cannot normally be applied retrospectively to completed Orders; and

  • Promotional terms will be communicated with the relevant offer.

Do It Solar will not remove a promotional benefit from a validly accepted Order except where permitted by law or where the benefit was obtained through fraud, abuse, or an obvious error.

  • Customer-service communications;

Electronic records may be retained by Do It Solar in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

13. Order Confirmation

After submitting an Order, you may receive an electronic acknowledgement or confirmation at the email address supplied during checkout.

An automated acknowledgement that an Order has been received does not necessarily mean that Do It Solar has finally accepted the Order where further verification is reasonably required.

Orders may be subject to:

  • Payment verification;

  • Stock availability;

  • Fraud screening;

  • Address verification;

  • Product availability; and

  • Other reasonable order-validation procedures.

If an Order cannot be fulfilled or needs to be cancelled, we will communicate this to the customer and provide the applicable remedy.

14. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered during checkout.

Do It Solar may use third-party payment providers to process transactions.

Payment information may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the relevant payment provider.

Do It Solar will not knowingly ask customers to send complete payment-card details through ordinary email or unsecured communication channels.

An Order may only be dispatched after payment has been successfully authorised and any necessary verification has been completed.

15. Fraud and Payment Verification

For security and fraud-prevention purposes, Do It Solar may verify Orders and payment information.

We may delay, decline, or cancel an Order where there are reasonable grounds to suspect:

  • Fraud;

  • Unauthorised payment;

  • Identity misrepresentation;

  • Payment abuse;

  • Unusual transaction activity;

  • Multiple fraudulent Orders; or

  • Other unlawful activity.

Where reasonably necessary, we may request additional information to verify an Order.

Personal information used for fraud prevention will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

16. Delivery

Delivery is available to eligible residential and commercial addresses throughout South Africa, subject to courier and service availability.

Our standard estimated delivery timeframe is:

1–2 Business Days processing + 3–6 Business Days transit = approximately 4–8 Business Days total.

These are estimated timeframes and are not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated otherwise.

Shipping costs, processing times, delivery information, and applicable conditions are explained in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Our Shipping & Delivery Policy forms part of these Terms.

17. Delivery Address

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided, this may result in delivery delays, additional charges, or an unsuccessful delivery, subject to any rights the customer has under applicable law.

If you discover that your delivery information is incorrect after placing an Order, contact us as soon as possible:

Email: sales@doitsolar.co.za
Telephone: 063 155 2942

We will make reasonable efforts to update an address before dispatch, but changes cannot be guaranteed after an Order has been processed or dispatched.

18. Delivery Delays

Estimated delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside Do It Solar's reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather;

  • Flooding;

  • Road closures;

  • Courier disruptions;

  • Peak-season delays;

  • Public holidays;

  • Remote-area delivery;

  • Incorrect delivery information;

  • Unexpected operational disruptions; or

  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to assist customers where an Order is delayed.

19. Inspection on Delivery

Customers should inspect Products as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery.

If a Product appears:

  • Damaged;

  • Incorrect;

  • Incomplete; or

  • Materially different from the Product ordered,

please contact us promptly.

We may request photographs, videos, packaging information, or other reasonable information to assist with investigating the issue.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory consumer rights.

20. Returns and Refunds

Returns, refunds, defective Products, damaged Products, incorrect Products, and exchanges are governed by our Refunds & Returns Policy.

Our Refunds & Returns Policy forms part of these Terms.

Customers should review the policy before purchasing.

Nothing in our Refunds & Returns Policy or these Terms is intended to limit mandatory consumer rights under South African law.

21. Consumer Rights

Do It Solar respects applicable consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act and other South African legislation.

Depending on the circumstances, customers may have statutory rights relating to:

  • Product quality;

  • Product safety;

  • Suitability;

  • Defective Products;

  • Products that are not as described;

  • Incorrect Products;

  • Repairs;

  • Replacements;

  • Refunds;

  • Returns;

  • Cancellation of certain transactions; and

  • Other statutory consumer remedies.

These rights may apply independently of any voluntary return, refund, exchange, or warranty policy offered by Do It Solar.

No provision of these Terms is intended to waive or exclude a mandatory statutory right.

22. Warranties and Manufacturer Guarantees

Where a Product includes a manufacturer's warranty or guarantee, the applicable warranty terms may be provided with the Product or otherwise communicated to the customer.

Depending on the Product, warranty claims may be administered by:

  • Do It Solar;

  • The manufacturer;

  • An authorised distributor; or

  • Another authorised service provider.

Customers should retain their Order confirmation, invoice, and proof of purchase.

A manufacturer's warranty does not replace statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you believe a Product is defective, contact:

sales@doitsolar.co.za

We will assist with determining the appropriate process.

23. Product Installation and Electrical Safety

Some Products sold by Do It Solar may involve electricity, batteries, solar power systems, inverters, wiring, mounting equipment, security equipment, or other products that may present safety risks if incorrectly installed or used.

Customers must:

  • Follow manufacturer instructions;

  • Use appropriately qualified installers where required;

  • Ensure electrical work is performed in accordance with applicable requirements;

  • Use Products only for their intended purpose;

  • Follow applicable operating instructions; and

  • Maintain Products as recommended by the manufacturer.

Do It Solar is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, unauthorised modification, misuse, incorrect configuration, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions, subject always to any mandatory rights available to the customer under applicable law.

24. Customer Accounts

Where customer accounts are available, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

You should notify us promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorisation.

You must not use another person's account without permission.

Do It Solar may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary for:

  • Security;

  • Fraud prevention;

  • Legal compliance; or

  • Violation of these Terms.

25. Customer Reviews and User Content

  • You must not infringe another person's intellectual-property rights; and

  • You must not submit another person's personal information without appropriate authority.

By submitting content, you grant Do It Solar a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display and use that content for legitimate business purposes associated with our Website, Products, services, marketing, and customer reviews, subject to applicable law.

Do It Solar may remove or moderate content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Customer reviews represent the views of the individuals who submitted them and do not necessarily represent the views of Do It Solar.

39. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with applicable South African law and the jurisdictional rules applicable to the relevant matter.
